The output module is designed to provide controls to external connected devices. It provides outputs that are 0V or 12V (well, whatever the power supply is, which is normally 12V).
Note that if you just need a simple dry contact output, a Shelly Plus 1 is probably simpler.
It has 10 separate configurable outputs.
This also makes a very useful general purpose board with powered outputs.
