Our very own, designed and built from the PCB up, made in the UK, SoHo and ISP level range of ethernet routers.
The FireBrick 2900 is a router, bonding box and traffic shaper. It can act as a SIP PBX, VPN tunnel endpoint and concentrator. Most commonly it is used as a general purpose network appliance in office environments, but many small ISPs/ITSPs also use them in core network situations.
The FB9000 is our 10G 'network appliance'. We run these across our own network and they can be used as routers/firewalls for larger offices and can work as LNSs for small/mid-sized ISPs.
Customers who are interested in the FB9000 may initially order a FB2900 to test out its features against your requirements. We will then credit the cost of the FB2900 against the cost of the FB9000 when purchased within 12 months.
This enables those new to FireBrick a way of getting used to the configuration options and features of FireBrick without the need for a large up-front investment.
You are then free to keep the FB2900, which may be useful on your testing environment or for any other purpose.
Despite many areas of the UK undergoing rollout of real fibre to the premises, there are still areas that have limited options for broadband connectivity.
FireBricks have always been able to bond multiple internet connections - this makes them ideal for areas that are still stuck with slow ADSL (SOTAP) or VDSL (SOGEA) services.
In addition to providing increased speeds the resilience of your overall service is improved as failover of a faulty line is noticed within seconds.
Get in touch with us and we can help you get the most out of your ageing connections.
